I offer a choice of two options; Standard and Premium.

The Premium option features the "truss" with Nighclub Style lighting effects and two 42" LCD screens, (for displaying pictures and Video DJ'ing).

The Premium lighting consists of a smart aluminium "truss" ( the silver part above the stage ) and two heavy duty stands ( the black things that hold it up )

Mounted on this truss are 4 state of the art nightclub style lighting effects, that shine beautifully co ordinated beams of light on the dancefloor ( and dancers ! )

I've made my lighting rig as neat as possible, there are no unsightly wires, and I hope you'll agree that it's a million miles away from a traditional "mobile disco".No cheesy ropelights or ancient "light screens" for me.

(Please note; It is really hard to take pictures of lighting, you really need to actually see my lighting to appreciate it.)

Also, they are fully controllable, so early on in the evening they will be on a nice soft colour, then during the first and second dance, they can start slowly scrolling through colours, and finally I can let them go through their amazing co ordinated sound to light sequences for maximum wow factor !!!

I have recently purchased a S&H Starcloth DJ Booth ! These are great, looks really neat and hides the DJ decks etc.

Also, worth mentioning, I use a clever ( and rather expensive ) little device called a "Look Hazer".This machine emits translucent haze into the venue, which is hardly visible, but it allows the beams of light to show up clearly, so I don’t need to use smoke like most DJ's .

The Standard option ( pictured below ) is slightly different. It features exactly the same sound system, but does not have the LCD Screens or the truss, but still features exellent quality lighting.

A quality sound system is also VERY important, especially in a big venue like Formby Hall. A small cheap system would distort and sound horrible, and it would struggle to cope, maybe even cutting out completely due to overheating.

My sound system was replaced in 2008, and now features speakers manufactured by a specialist company called OHM Audio, whose products are only usually found in nightclubs.

It produces a lovely sound, very clear with a nice deep bass. It has plenty of power available when needed, but I don't like to use the word "loud",I prefer to describe it as having a "big" sound, ie, it can easily fill the dancefloor area with sound, but it's very smooth and doesn't make you want to put your fingers in your ears...

I use professional Denon CD Players, and a Formula Sound mixer. Here's what's behind the DJ Booth !

Aswell as the CD Players, I use a high spec PC that runs a program called "OTS AV". This allows me to show the accompanying Video to each song on the screens. Premium option only. See Video DJ for more details.
